PRAGUE. APRIL 30. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - German carmaker Volkswagen Group's Czech unit Skoda Auto said Wednesday its operating profit rose only 6% in the first quarter 2008 despite a 15.7% increase in the number of cars sold, with revenues hit by the strength of the Czech crown.
